We sometimes find ourselves waiting on God. We are calling on him for something, or we feel like he is trying to tell us something. And we wait for his answers. Sometimes he takes a while. To the point to where doubt creeps in. You’re wondering to yourself, “how much longer? How much longer do I have to wait for you to move God? Is he even listening? Does he care? Is he going to move?” And when we present these petitions to God he hears us. Sometimes we are waiting for God to move when sometimes he is waiting for us to make the next move.
Be prayerful about everything you’re dreaming of or hoping for. Seek wisdom, search his word for wisdom for your situation. I’m not saying be foolish and reactive in your life decisions, but I’m saying for some of us we’ve been praying for a break through. Or a healing. Or a job. Or a purpose. A new home. A spouse. Waiting on God. He hears us. But I think sometimes he answers. He opens doors and we either don’t acknowledge the door or we doubt it-we question if it’s the right one, and it prevents us from moving forward with God-exercising our faith. Some of us are just waiting and waiting for him to either open another door or enter through the one he opened himself, when God is waiting on us to act out in our faith and step through.
So maybe God has put something on you’re heart. Or you desire creating something for the kingdom of God. A vision. Or maybe you’re simply being prayerful about your purpose and you feel like you’ve be waiting. And you probably have been. But has God opened doors for you? I encourage you to walk through them boldly in faith. Knowing that it says in Romans he reassures us that he causes all things to work together for those who love him and are called according to his purpose. With thanksgiving and prayer, he will open doors. He does that because it is in accordance with his word and he is faithful to his word. However we must be faithful and willing to walk in faith.
“Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”
